KING Morris
Service Record
Private 8377 King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment 1st Battalion. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission has his name spelt Maurice, this may be that when he signed up, the person filling out the application assumed the spelling of Maurice rather than Morris or the 1911 Census writer.
The 1911 Census shows he was living with his parents William and Mary and his brothers Carl, Oscar, Walter and Harry at 4 Hunter Street Carnforth.
